Dansk Cottage is a modern holiday home on Ærø for up to six guests: Scandinavian design, private sauna, wood-burning stove and a 3,300 m² natural plot – in peaceful Søby in the north of the island.
On Ærø, the small island in the Danish South Sea, Dansk Cottage is being built as a holiday home for everyone who values peace, nature and Scandinavian living. From spring 2027 we will welcome guests here – on around 96 m² of living space with an open living, dining and kitchen area and direct access to the wooden terrace.

Dansk Cottage is in Søby, the ferry port in the north of Ærø. The harbour, the supermarket and the little village centre are a few minutes' walk away, and the stop for the free island bus is only about three minutes on foot. The bus takes you easily to Ærøskøbing and Marstal.
Getting here is straightforward too: ferries run directly to Søby from Fynshav and from Faaborg – after that it is only a short drive to the cottage. You will find all routes and tips under Getting to Ærø, and more about the village on the page Søby & northern Ærø.
After a day by the sea, the private barrel sauna with panoramic window and outdoor shower awaits – at no extra charge and exclusively for our guests. On cool evenings the wood-burning stove in the living area provides Danish hygge.

Ærø is one of the most beautiful islands in Denmark: small harbours, quiet beaches, historic town centres and plenty of room to breathe. Four-legged friends are welcome: one dog is included in the total price, and a second dog is possible after prior registration for €50 per week. The plot is fenced and offers plenty of space to run around, and beaches and walking routes are nearby. More under Holidays with your dog on Ærø.
