Getting to Dansk Cottage

Via Hamburg

For guests from Germany or air travellers via Hamburg Airport, the journey along the A7 towards Denmark is a good option.

From Fynshav the ferry sails directly to Søby on Ærø. The crossing takes around 60 minutes and brings you to the side of the island where Dansk Cottage is located.

This route is particularly comfortable, as after the ferry arrives in Søby only a short drive to our cottage is needed.

Via Faaborg

Another very attractive option is the journey via Funen and Faaborg.

From Faaborg the ferry sails directly to Søby. This connection too brings you to the side of the island that is particularly well placed for Dansk Cottage.

The route is ideal if you are travelling via Funen or would like to combine your trip through Denmark with a stay in the region.

Via Copenhagen

For international air travellers, Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is a very good alternative.

From the airport you continue by rental car or train across Zealand and Funen towards South Funen.

For the crossing to Ærø there are then several options:

• Faaborg – Søby: This connection is particularly convenient for guests of Dansk Cottage, as you arrive directly in Søby.
• Svendborg – Ærøskøbing: Alternatively you can cross from Svendborg to Ærøskøbing and then drive on across the island to Dansk Cottage.
